The Name Sounds Like Money. Good.

Let's address the obvious: Changenaire sounds like millionaire. That tension is the whole point.

We get the question constantly. "Your brand says not wealth — but your name says wealth?" Fair. We heard it in the first week, and we've never ducked it.

Here's our answer. We didn't pick the name to mock money. We picked it to take wealth back.

Somewhere along the way, the world decided a rich person is someone with a big number next to their name on a bank statement. That's a thin definition, and thin definitions get gamed. Park money, hoard it, pass it down untouched — and the scoreboard calls you rich while you've changed nothing for anyone.

We propose a harder test. How many lives are meaningfully better because you lived? (The founding question, explained fully.) Answer that with a real number — jobs you created, students you taught, people whose path bent because you showed up — and you have a wealth figure nobody can inherit, offshore, or fake.

So yes: be rich. Be filthy rich. Just not in the currency they told you to count.

Here's what this means in practice. When we profile a potential Changenaire, we ask a billionaire and a bus driver the exact same question. No handicap, no charity points, no separate leagues. The scoreboard is one column: measurable positive change in human lives. If a teacher in Newark has a bigger number than a fund manager, the teacher wins. That's not a metaphor. That's the ranking.

And we'll be honest about the flip side: plenty of people with enormous bank accounts will score high on our list too. Impact is impact. We don't subtract points for having money — we subtract points for hoarding it while the number you could have built sits at zero.

One more thing the money-people get right, by accident: compounding. Time spent mentoring one kid who grows up to mentor three more — that's compound interest, the only kind that pays out in people. Point money at a life instead of a vault and it compounds the same way.

Nobody's asking you to give away the house. We're asking you to count something real for once.

The name, then, is a challenge aimed at every person who hears it.
